Landscape Perumahan, Need More Attention!

Perumahan tanpa landscape pastinya akan gersang dan tidak nyaman dilihat. Oleh karena itu, semua developer pasti berlomba lomba membuat landscape dan exterior perumahan terlihat asri, bagus dan elegan, namun hati hati dengan tampakan asri, rapih fan bagus, karena developer pada umumnya hanya menyulap keadaan menjadi terlihat bagus namun tidak tahan lama.

Seperti yang terjadi disini, masih belom lama menempati rumah, deket samping rumah ambrol, kemudian disusul decker depan rumah juga ambrol, sudah begitu, landscape yang terlihat indah tadinya, ternyata besar resiko nya untuk ambruk disaat hujan dan angin kencang karena ditanam persis disamping decker saluran air, akibatnya saat pohon makin besar dan tinggi, akar akar nya tidak bisa seimbang, bagian yang ke arah decker tidak bisa mendapatkan pegangan tanah, sehingga pohon pun tumbuh miring, dan pegangan akarnya hanya 60% dari seharusnya.

Coba lihat foto diatas…. ngeri kan posisi nya, saat semua masih tertutup sih terlihat bagus, begitu ambrol dan terlihat aselinya… ngeri! Harus secepatnya diganti semua pijakan decker yang hanya terbuat dari kayu yang dipaku ke buis beton saluran.
Tahap berikutnya, terpaksa menebang pohon yang ada dan nanti dicarikan gantinya plus diletakan di posisi yang tepat supaya mengurangi resiko kerusakan akibat akar pohon yang tidak cukup mendapatkan ruang untuk tumbuh dengan baik.

Sudah seminggu ini sakit di paha kanan, pantat kanan hingga pinggang kanan menyerang diriku, alhamdulillah abis dipijet, instant langsung kerasa hasilnya, walau belum 100 % sembuh, tapi yang buat aku impressssssiooonnnnn… Mijitnya ga ada 3 menit, sebentar banget! Busyet dah!
Kalau agan-agan sekalian ada yang sakit dan udah di urut dimana-mana belum sembuh juga, boleh tuh di coba disini 🙂

Power Plant Adds Fly Ash Process

Dominion Energy has just completed a $46-million Carbon Burn Out (CBO) Fly Ash facility at its Brayton Point power plant in Somerset, Mass.

Now in full production, the new CBO system produces a consistent, low-carbon Class F fly ash suitable for use as a substitute for Portland cement in producing
concrete and in other construction applications. Fly ash, used on roads and interstate highways for some 50 years, is a byproduct of the combustion of pulverized coal. More than 68 million tons were produced in 2001 by coal-fired electric and steam generating plants.
Dominion’s Brayton Point is one of those producers. According to Michael Kaczmarek, ash marketing representative for Dominion, the 1,600-megawatt plant is the largest coal- and oil-powered generating station in New England, with 1,160 of the megawatts coming from the combustion of coal.

Kaczmarek said that Brayton Point burns about 3 million tons of coal per year in its coal-fired boilers, adding that all of the coal is delivered by ship.

“The power plant burns 10,000 tons of coal per day when all coal-fired boilers are online. If trucks hauled Brayton Point’s coal it would take 333 18-wheel dump trucks per day to keep it going or a truck every 4-1/2 minutes,” he said.

Coal is pulverized into a powder as fine as talcum powder. It is then pneumatically blown into the boilers where it combusts as well as natural gas. Boiler tubes extract heat from the boilers, cooling flue gasses and causing molten mineral to harden and form ash. The mineral portion of the coal, which does not burn, as well as 8-percent to 12-percent of residual unburned carbon remains. Coarse ash particles — the bottom ash or slag — fall to the bottom of the combustion chamber, while the lighter fine ash particles — the fly ash — remain suspended in the flue gas. Brayton Point produces approximately 250,000 tons of coal ash per year.

Coal fly ash can be used a substitute for Portland cement in making concrete ready mix, but only if the carbon levels are 2-1/2 percent or less, Kaczmarek pointed out.

To produce fly ash of this quality, Dominion invested in the construction of its new CBO facility.

Capable of processing more than 300,000 tons of ash per year, the CBO facility employs the patented technology of Progress Materials Inc. Fly ash, containing residual carbon from the power plant, is fed into a fluidized bed combustor, where it is initially heated by a natural gas startup burner. Once the ash reaches a temperature of approximately 800 degrees Fahrenheit, the carbon within the ash auto-ignites. At that point, the burner is turned off, and the combustion process becomes self-sufficient with the carbon in the ash feed alone. After at least 45 minutes in the CBO unit, the processed ash is removed having the carbon reduced to specification.

Dominion built a 40,000-ton storage dome together with a truck load-out system. The ash storage silo is one of the largest in the United States, and the largest in New England. It stores winter CBO ash production for use in the summer construction season.

The load-out facility has a 200-ton load-out silo with two-truck load-out bays, each with its own truck scale. Automatic equipment transfers fly ash from the 40,000-ton storage dome into the truck load-out silo keeping it full for truck loading.

The load-out facility has the ability to be self-loading or loaded by an attendant. In the self-loading mode the driver pulls his truck into the enclosed truck bay, exits the truck and climbs a safety platform to the top of his pneumatic tanker where he lowers the dustless loading chute into his hatch, and then exits the truck bay. He enters the control room and swipes an electronic ID card that identifies him to the ash marketers’ dispatch system.

This dispatch system processes the information required to load his truck and prints a bill of lading. When all the information is exchanged the driver pushes the load button and the system loads 85 percent of the load into the truck in a fast fill mode, pauses for two minutes to let the ash settle, then loads the last 15 percent in a slow fill mode to the weight sent by the dispatch system.

Fly ash has many applications in highway and other construction, and its use has been promoted since the early 1970s by the Federal Highway Administration. The Environmental Protection Agency has also been supporting the use of the material because of its environmental benefits, since its use increases the life of concrete roads and structures by improving concrete durability. When fly ash is utilized to replace or displace manufactured cement, it results in a net reduction in energy use and greenhouse gas and other adverse emissions. In addition, using fly ash lowers the amount of coal combustion products that otherwise would be disposed in landfills.

Among its many applications, fly ash is used in concrete admixtures to enhance concrete performance, combined with lime and aggregate to produce stabilized road base course, mixed with water and Portland cement to produce flowable fill, and as a borrow material to construct fills and embankments.

Other fly ash uses include adding the material to hot mix asphalt to increase the stiffness of pavements, and to water and other materials as a grout to fill voids under concrete pavements without raising slabs.

Brayton Point’s fly ash is being marketed by Headwater Resources, a subsidiary of Headwaters Incorporated, a nationwide company that supplies materials from coal combustion products. Stephen Berlo of Scituate, Mass., is the company’s New England representative.

Dominion Energy, owner of Brayton Point, is one of the nation’s largest producers of energy, with assets including over 28,000 megawatts of power generation, 6,000 miles of electric transmission, about 6.3 trillion cubic feet equivalent of proved natural gas reserves, 7,800 miles of natural gas pipeline, and about 950 billion cubic feet of storage capacity.

The Link Between Acididty and Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease is triggered when the body’s acidic level becomes too large, leaving some acid particles in the blood which in turn make scratches and bumps within the interior walls of arteries and veins. When injuries to these walls are ‘bandaged’ over with elevated cholesterol, triglycerides, calcium and other waste levels they become thicker, hence, we see the narrowing of arteries.

What you must realize is that hardening of the arteries, through high cholesterol, is not the underlying cause of cardiovascular disease. Cholesterol and other thick, sticky substances cannot bond to smooth vessel walls, but, rather, once the arterial vessel walls become abrasive and eroded by acid particles then fatty plaques can stick to them.

There are two dangerous aspects to narrowing of the arteries. The first and foremost danger is raising of blood pressure, as it increases the risks of a heart attack. The second and by no means the lesser of two evils is the danger of a stroke, caused by fatty plaques detaching from the arterial walls traveling through the bloodstream to the brain. These findings are well documented by the clinical studies of Dr. Kancho Kuninaha. Dr. Kuninaha successfully lowered blood pressure levels in many of his patients by invoking a regimen of alkaline water. Through his clinical studies, he found that this process allowed blood pressure readings to normalize, which only indicated the arteries had in fact opened up, allowing for the alkaline particles in the water to remove the fatty plaques and acid wastes deposited on the arterial walls.

The body can suffer prolonged damage due to having an unbalanced pH level. Having to much acid in the body will force the body to borrow minerals from vital organs such as calcium, sodium, potassium. This “borrowing” slowly deteriorates the body, breaking it down and ultimately causing chronic illness. Some conditions such as Cardiovascular damage, diabeties, cancer, are mostly irreversable. However, through proper alkalizing the body will rejuvinate healthy cells and promote overall healthy living, ultimately eliminating any potential rise to skin and liver problems, parasites, body odor and bad breath, alergies, constipation.

Our body is like a flowing river, the river flows smoothly along it’s route until it is stopped up. When this occurs a swamp is generated. Smelly areas stagnate creating a home for bacteria, mold, insects. Similarly, in an idealistic scenario our body digests food which flows through the body with little or no blockage. Digestion begins in the mouth and should take 24 hours from start to finish in a good-flowing, clear, clean environment. When the system gets stopped up, like the stopped up river, the body also becomes like a swamp. When the digestive system gets congested, disease sets in. This is why it is important to maintain a pH balanced system that includes proper food combining and daily supplementing.

Another example is a swimming pool. If you leave a pool unattended for a long period of time what happens? Mold, mildue, discoloration all starts to set in, not to mention the smell. Similarly, our body is made up of over 70% water so if we do not properly alkalize daily we are creating an unhealthy environment non-condusive to healthy living.

FDA Regulates Bottled Water

The FDA regulates bottled water as:

  • Artesian water comes from an underground aquifer. The aquifer is a confined, pressurized chamber below the surface of the earth that has no porthole to the surface. As a result, the water does not come into contact with air, a feature that prevents bacterial growth. The EPA considers this water the purest because of the layers of porous rock and clay that confine it and keep it pure underground. Delicious Organics offers natural artesian water.

    • Mineral water comes from an underground source too. Containing at least 250 parts per million of dissolved solid minerals naturally, they cannot be added to the water.
    • Spring water also comes from an underground source. The difference is that spring water finds its way to the surface through a fracture or fissure in the earth’s surface. With spring water, there is always a porthole to the surface.
    • Distilled water is boiled and evaporated. It has no minerals in it and the very structure of the cell of each water molecule is also stripped away; depending upon how it is treated, it may contain chemicals like nickel and aluminum. It is not fit for human consumption.
    • Drinking water is typically tap water from a municipal water system that has been filtered through a process of reverse osmosis in an attempt to remove contaminants.
    • Tap Water is chlorinated and has added fluoride and other chemicals added through processing. It is not fit for human consumption. There are links between ingesting chlorinated water and cancer. Some bottled waters actually include tap water in the mix so be careful which water you are drinking to make sure you are getting what you think you are drinking. If drinking your tap water, make sure to get a good filter that will catch chlorine, fluoride and other added chemicals. This will make the water taste better and be better for our bodies. And make sure to change your filter on schedule so that you are drinking clean water.
    • Well Water is underground water that man has drilled a hole to tap.
